Case study 04 · AI & SaaS

AI Products & SaaS Startups

A SaaS product's website has to explain a new idea in one scroll, prove it works, and get a visitor into the app. We build the marketing site and, often, the product behind it.

What this industry needs from software

Early-stage SaaS and AI products have a particular problem: the thing they do is new, so the website has to teach before it can sell. A visitor arrives from a LinkedIn post or a Product Hunt launch, gives it eight seconds, and either understands the promise or leaves. Everything on the site is in service of that first screen, and then of getting the person into the product.

What that demands:

  • One sentence, one demo. The headline says what the product does in plain words. The next thing on the page is the product doing it - a live playground, a generated example, a screenshot that moves.
  • The site and the app are separate. Marketing on the root domain, the application on app. - so the marketing site stays fast and static while the product iterates daily.
  • Pricing that is a page, not a PDF. Free tier, one or two paid tiers, the differences visible in a table. Founders change pricing often; the page must be trivial to update.
  • Sharing surfaces. Public read-only links, embeddable outputs, free micro-tools - the small things that make the product spread without an ad budget.
  • Speed and structure for search. Static Next.js pages, clean metadata, an FAQ - because “AI launch doc generator” is a query, and the founder wants to be the answer.

How we approached the builds

Every site in this group is Next.js with Tailwind, deployed on Vercel, with the product itself living behind an app. subdomain or a separate deployment. The marketing sites are statically rendered and lean; the products behind them are full-stack Node.js applications with authentication, tiered plans and third-party integrations (Slack, Jira, GitHub, LinkedIn, real-time voice and vision APIs).

The design register shifts with the product. Supabrief is deliberately monochrome and typographic - a tool for writers, so the site reads like well-set text. OutreachAI is deep green and confident, a sales tool that looks like it closes. Ultron / MetaBrix is black with neon violet and electric blue, because a real-time AI avatar should feel like the future when you land on it.

What stays constant is the build discipline: fixed scope, a first version in weeks, then iterate against what real users do inside the product.

Questions buyers in this industry ask

01

How should a SaaS marketing site be separated from the product?

Marketing on the root domain, the application on an app subdomain. Supabrief runs its site at supabrief.com and the product at app.supabrief.com; OutreachAI does the same. The public site stays static and fast for search while the product ships changes daily without touching it.

02

What makes an AI product website convert?

One plain sentence that says what the product does, followed immediately by the product doing it - a generated example, a live playground, a moving screenshot. Then a pricing page that is a page, not a PDF, and small sharing surfaces such as public read-only links or a free micro-tool.

03

What did FlowLaunch build for Supabrief?

The marketing site and the product around it - a deliberately monochrome, typographic site with dark mode, the one-paste-four-documents generator, Slack, Jira and GitHub integrations, public share links with view counts, exports to Markdown, HTML and PDF in sixteen languages, and authentication with Free, Pro and Max tiers.

04

Can FlowLaunch build the product, not just the website?

Yes. Behind the marketing sites in this group are full-stack Node.js applications with authentication, tiered plans and third-party integrations, from LinkedIn automation for OutreachAI to real-time WebRTC avatar streaming for MetaBrix Lab's Ultron. The website and the product are usually one engagement.

05

Why do free tools appear on these product sites?

Because they earn visits and links on their own. OutreachAI offers a free LinkedIn Headline Generator and AEONest a free Email Signature Generator. A small tool gets used repeatedly where a landing page gets read once, and every use is another chance to convert.
