Equipment calibration tracking and compliance management for laboratories - schedules, records and certificates in one desktop application.
The product
CalForms is the calibration product in the QMS Total family. Every instrument in a testing or calibration lab has to be calibrated on a schedule, the calibration recorded, and a certificate produced - and an ISO/IEC 17025 auditor will ask to see all three. Labs were tracking this in spreadsheets and folders.
What we built
A desktop application that owns the calibration lifecycle for every piece of equipment.
- Calibration schedules per instrument, with due dates that cannot quietly slip.
- Calibration records, captured in the format the standard expects and stored locally.
- Certificate generation so the lab’s own certificates come out consistent every time.
- Dense, filterable equipment tables - a lab may have hundreds of instruments and needs to find one in a second.
How it was built
Electron.js with a Node.js core and Tabulator.js for the tables, packaged as an offline Windows application and licensed locally, matching the rest of the product family. The same architecture as the BIS and Kemwell systems, applied to compliance paperwork instead of live instrument readings.
